In his New York Times Bestseller Radical: Taking Back Your Faith from the American American Dream, David Platt shares that while in a once thriving community in Sudan, but which is “now seared and saddened,” how a Sudanese brother made the statement that he was going to impact the world.  This statement led pastor Platt to write,

“Regardless of what country we live in, what skills we possess, what kind of education we have, or what kind of salary we make, Jesus has commanded each of us to makedisciples, and this is the means by which we will impact the world.  Indeed, Jesus has invited us to join with him in the surprising simple journey of spreading the gospel to all nations by spending our lives for the good of others and the glory of God.”  (pp. 86-87)

Yes, Jesus himself has outlined exactly how he wishes for his followers to impact the world on his behalf.  His plan is simple.  All it requires is our complete obedience (Matthew 28:18-20).
