Praying the Lord’s Prayer

At times I would pray the Lord’s Prayer with my two kids before putting them to bed.  They are now able to recite and pray from memory.

But I’ve taken it to another level.  I’m now teaching them what each line of the Lord’s Prayer means.

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.'”  (Matt. 6:9-13 NIV)

It’s such a blessing and joy to lead them, in this way.  I also see a lot of theology in the Lord’s Prayer. 😉
