Black History Month: Martin Luther King meets Malcolm X

Martin Luther King, Jr, and Malcolm X were leaders of two influential movements, each seeking to empower their people.  And while there were similarities between the two, there were marked differences, with one being a black Muslim and the other a black Baptist minister.

As I reflect on black history and these two leaders, I’m not so concerned with how these two men are often portrayed by scores of writers, who often contradict one another.

Rather, I will let history be its own best writer and teacher–as it is use to doing since the dawn of time…
