In reading John Eldredge’s Beautiful Outlaw, a book about the personality of Jesus as revealed in the Gospels, I came across a question that has gripped me and would not let go:
What do you think Jesus thinks about you?
The backdrop of this question, as explored by Eldredge, occurs in the context of one’s own brokenness and how it is somehow connected.
Like me, you might be tempted to overlook this question, but you might want to rethink that decision–unless you have gotten over that hump.
It’s a question to uncover one’s own disappointment with Jesus.
