When you come to my home, it will not take you very long to notice the framed photo of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr at a podium, with his left hand on a Bible and the caption “I Have A Dream.”
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr is one of my heroes.
He stood for something. He stood for justice.
When him and his family’s life was being threatened, Dr. King continued to take his stand. He envisioned a better America, a better humanity. It was what fueled him.
Even when jailed in Birmingham, he would pen the now classic “Letter from Birmingham Jail”–a letter to combat inertia and continue the fight against injustice.
So to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, this great human soul, is to continue to take a stand against injustice everywhere.
