What are you giving up this Lent?

Lent (which begins 40 days prior to Easter, not counting Sundays) is a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline.

During Lent many Christians tend to give up various practices, habits, and the like.  For example, some Christians will give up coffee, certain TV shows, time on the Internet, etc.

This Lent I am giving up a name I tend to google on a daily basis.  This person is a cultural global icon, and I got in the habit of trekking this person around the globe.  I believe it became unhealthy.  I am going to need your prayers.  Thank you.

  1. Oh, come on, Man–who is it? 🙂
I have heard of some that instead of giving something up she’s taking something on–loaded up her car with spaghetti and such, went down to the shelter area and passed out bowls of food to the homeless.

    1. My wife knows. 😀

      Great gesture!
